WHAT IS THE AVERAGE SIZE OF THE FISH?

The average size of fish is now over 33lbs. There are at least 30 x 40’s.
The lake record mirror is 58lb & the largest common caught to date is 55lb. There are plenty of 20’s and 30’s whilst you wait for the big ones!

WHAT FEATURES ARE THERE TO CAST TO?

Every swim has the option of margins and open water. Numerous features can be found on the predominantly clay lake bed. Depths range from 2 – 8 feet. There are lillies, reeds, overhanging willows and gravel bars

CAN WE USE BAIT BOATS?

Bait boats are permitted. They are recommended for fishing far margins under the willow trees!

Regarding the rigs, keep it simple: 6 – 12 inch hook links. 18mm baits over pellet & particle can pull out some big fish! No leaders of any type are allowed and a minimum of 30cm of rig tubing is to be used.

WHERE IS THE NEAREST SHOP?

The nearest supermarket is a 15 minute drive from the lake. In addition their are largest supermarkets in verdun which is approximately 20 minutes drive.

HOW MANY BEDROOMS DOES THE LODGE HAVE?

None – sleep in your bivvies!
