Travel Insurance Cover
We recommend that our customers consider taking out a travel insurance policy which can assist in protecting any financial loss incurred by a cancellation, accident or theft from a genuine cause as laid down by the insurer.
It is our customers’ responsibility to obtain adequate personal insurance to cover their person, vehicle and possessions for the duration of their journey and their time at lac de paix and all visitors are reminded that their visit to the fishery is undertaken entirely at their own risk and we accept no responsibility for damage to persons, their possessions or their vehicles whilst on site.
All passport, visa and health certification requirements are the personal responsibility of our individual clients. We accept no responsibility for any inconvenience or cancellation incurred through irregularities in these documents. All British visitors will require a Full Ten Year British Passport with a validity of at least three months beyond the travel date. Check with the relevant authorities if you have any doubts.
The road laws in France are strictly enforced and on the spot fines are severe so our customers should be sure that they hold a current and valid driving licence and carry with them the full set of documents for the vehicle.
European Law also insists that all vehicles carry within them the following safety items which are detailed on our Directions and Travel section.
We will not be liable for loss or delay occasioned by any of the following: Strikes, riots, political unrest, hostilities, war or threat of war, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, fire, flood, technical weather problems to transport, closure of ports, weather conditions or any other event(s) beyond our operational control.
