Balance Payment

The final balance of payment for the package is required 10 weeks prior to the commencement of your trip. If the balance due is not received by this time we reserve the right to terminate the booking, retain the deposit and re-offer the package.

Cancellation

Should you wish to cancel your fishing holiday, subject to the circumstances, you may be liable to pay a cancellation fee based on the following terms:
0-4 weeks before holiday date – Full payment will be retained.
4-10 weeks – 50% of outstanding balance payment will be retained.

Travel Insurance Cover

We recommend that our customers consider taking out a travel insurance policy which can assist in protecting any financial loss incurred by a cancellation, accident or theft from a genuine cause as laid down by the insurer.

Personal Insurance

It is our customers’ responsibility to obtain adequate personal insurance to cover their person, vehicle and possessions for the duration of their journey and their time at lac de paix and all visitors are reminded that their visit to the fishery is undertaken entirely at their own risk and we accept no responsibility for damage to persons, their possessions or their vehicles whilst on site.

Travel Documents

All passport, visa and health certification requirements are the personal responsibility of our individual clients. We accept no responsibility for any inconvenience or cancellation incurred through irregularities in these documents. All British visitors will require a Full Ten Year British Passport with a validity of at least three months beyond the travel date. Check with the relevant authorities if you have any doubts.
The road laws in France are strictly enforced and on the spot fines are severe so our customers should be sure that they hold a current and valid driving licence and carry with them the full set of documents for the vehicle.
European Law also insists that all vehicles carry within them the following safety items which are detailed on our Directions and Travel section.

Force Majeure

We will not be liable for loss or delay occasioned by any of the following: Strikes, riots, political unrest, hostilities, war or threat of war, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, fire, flood, technical weather problems to transport, closure of ports, weather conditions or any other event(s) beyond our operational control.

The Law and Contractual Rights

The signature on the booking form constitutes a contract between the nominated person or individual signing the form and lac de paix Fisheries and is accepted by both parties to be subject to English Law.
We reserve the right to immediately terminate the services we are contractually obliged to provide to you if we, our employees or agents or any other appropriate person in authority, in any place judge your behaviour to be likely to cause discomfort or harm to our other customers or any person or any property. Our contractual obligations under these conditions will terminate immediately. In this case, any appropriate cancellation fee will apply and we will not be liable to you for any refund or compensation, or any costs or damage that you may incur.
